Hello and thank you to everyone who’s been reading my blog over the last month or so, I have been pretty busy. A lot has been happening, as it’s the last month till a begin my final year of uni! Now I only have a weekend and then uni on Monday!! I’m actually pretty excited…
Last week I got given an amazing opportunity to take photographs at London fashion week. This was given to me by my university as part of a competition for Canon. I was extremely nervous on the few days leading up to it but the day went really well, however I was very tired… I woke up at 5 in the morning! We basically shot two shows, one which showcased up and coming trends for Autumn/Winter and another for Issa London. It was so fun, something I would definitely be interested in doing again.
Here are some of the photographs I took for the trends show.
And here are the photographs from the Issa London show!
… and those were just my favorites. I did take quite a few images.
I really liked the clothes for the Issa show, especially the turquoise dresses at the end, the print is gorgeous! The metallic trend is definitely in this coming winter.
Hope you like the photographs and please don’t hesitate to comment on the post! Soon I will be doing a lot more editorial work as I will be back at uni so i’ll be posting a lot more of my own photography.
Thanks for reading 🙂
I love the Goth trend.

This winter, the gothic trend is coming back in a big way. So many designers have references to gothic style in there collections, and I’m sure you’ve noticed that crosses are really big at the moment anyway. Tumblr is teaming with Goth/fashion photo’s, it’s probably one of the most universally popular trends of this year. What’s great about it is, there are so many ways you can wear it without looking like everyone else! Here are some different types of goth style for you…
Awesome jewellery, over accessorising is THE way to do it
Sheer fabrics look beautiful, especially in black!
Givenchy fall 2012 – Vampy!
Valentino fall 2012 – lace is the best
Black lipstick/dark shades – not for everyone but on the right person it looks truly awesome.
Emma Stone with some deep red lipstick on combined with this Gucci dress is the perfect Gothic trend example.
That’s just a brief over view of the trend but there is so much more. I’ve made a VERY quick mood board of the trend as well just to show it off a bit more… thanks for reading!
The weather is really amazing at the moment, really hoping it holds out. My photo shoot is sorted pretty much! I just have to find clothes for it, or cleverly use what I have…
As you’ll know if you’ve read previous posts, I have been looking at the print trend for my current uni project. One of the most popular designers of the moment is Erdem, who designs the most amazing floral print outfits. I really love all his collections, I can’t imagine anyone wouldn’t love them. Here are some my favourites from his Fall 2012 collection –
Oh god, they are so gorgeous!
Today i’ve just been hanging out in my garden talking and drinking coffee. I’m wearing this shirt I bought from Primark a couple of months ago, its one of the best things i’ve bought in a long time and it only cost me £10. I know I probably wear it to much… but i’m kind of addicted to it. However, I do have a job now so i’ll be able to do a summer clothes shop very soon. Here’s some pictures of the shirt…
… and here is my lovely cat.
Hope your all enjoying the weather!

The various printed fabric trends at the moment are so exciting, they have to be my favorite trend this year. So much variation and colour! From paisley to photo based prints, there is something for everyone.
I am basing my 2nd year photography project around this trend because of the freedom I think this trend gives, its so broad! Here are some images that have inspired me…
