Shoreditch fashion show

Fashion, Fashion photography, My photography

Hey everyone, this week I’ve been in London shooting Shoreditch fashion show ready for it to feature in Religion magazine. The event was a huge success and took place at the Golden Bee in London’s Shoreditch. All the designers that showcased their work were Crystal Mcfarlane, Radhinna, Staple for the cool kids, Lilla Ballazs, Imzy and Joanna Leigh Norton. The event was organised by Wynter Heayes. Sponsors include Electric London and Ten image, lead make up designer – Naomi Lake.

Here are some sneak previews of the photographs I took. If you want to see anymore Religion magazine will be published around the 7th of may 🙂

New photographs, the end is nigh!

Fashion, Fashion photography, My photography

Hello, It’s been a while since my last post. I am currently only a few months away from 3rd year ending, which is pretty terrifying! Soon I’ll be trying to get a proper job…

At the moment I’m working on my final major project, which by the end of it I need to produce a whole magazine. The magazine is going to feature a more diverse range of fashion model, from body shape to ethnicity. The point of the magazine is not to fall into the trap of the rigid fashion culture which presents mainly skinny very young white girls as fashion models. Of course many magazines are not guilty of this, and a lot is changing in the diversity of fashion models. I also want to do features within the magazine that come from a more intelligent angle, as opposed to diet and celebrity features. I have never produced a magazine before, so it’s going to be a challenge, but I’m excited.

Here is my first shoot. The trend is monochrome, and it has a bit of an 80’s feel to it. Hope you like it!

My day at London Fashion Week!

Fashion, Fashion photography, My photography

Hello and thank you to everyone who’s been reading my blog over the last month or so, I have been pretty busy. A lot has been happening, as it’s the last month till a begin my final year of uni! Now I only have a weekend and then uni on Monday!! I’m actually pretty excited…

Last week I got given an amazing opportunity to take photographs at London fashion week. This was given to me by my university as part of a competition for Canon. I was extremely nervous on the few days leading up to it but the day went really well, however I was very tired… I woke up at 5 in the morning! We basically shot two shows, one which showcased up and coming trends for Autumn/Winter and another for Issa London. It was so fun, something I would definitely be interested in doing again.

Here are some of the photographs I took for the trends show.

And here are the photographs from the Issa London show!

… and those were just my favorites. I did take quite a few images.

I really liked the clothes for the Issa show, especially the turquoise dresses at the end, the print is gorgeous! The metallic trend is definitely in this coming winter.

Hope you like the photographs and please don’t hesitate to comment on the post! Soon I will be doing a lot more editorial work as I will be back at uni so i’ll be posting  a lot more of my own photography.

Thanks for reading 🙂
