Well, the weather is pretty horrific at the moment. Flooding, 80 mph winds and it’s pretty cold to top it off. My room is an absolute ice cavern because the window is a poor excuse for a window and my bed is cleverly placed right in front of the radiator, therefore blocking much of the heat that would otherwise be heating the entire room. I should probably do something about that.
Me and my boyfriend braved the weather for a day out at Weston Super Mare on Sunday, a seaside town near Bristol. I hadn’t been to Weston since I was very young, so this was a nice trip down memory lane. I really do enjoy beaches when its cold and windy, there’s something really moody and emotional about it.
We went to this AMAZING chip shop called Papas http://www.papasukltd.com/ and it was seriously amazing. I’m a veggie so I didn’t have the cod but they did these insane Battered garlic mushrooms.
I definitely recommend it.
At the moment things are a bit tight with money, so I have less and less cash to spend on clothes etc. However, I went to Taunton yesterday to visit my Nana and we ended up in Topshop. I found these silver shoes for £7! Absolute bargain, I couldn’t say no. Along with that I bought a pack of silver and gold rings that were in the sale, and it all came to £10.50 which I didn’t feel too guilty about.

90’s fashion is coming back. Platform shoes, high ponytails, grunge, leggings…. all the best stuff! Here are some of the biggest things to emerge from the 90’s…
The 90’s was Kate’s prime time, discovered when she was just 14 in 1988, she revived the ‘waif look’. Not the healthiest body image, which contributed to ‘heroin chic’ being born. Heroin chic was basically a reaction against the healthier looking models like Cindy Crawford etc, where models were made to look pretty much like heroin addicts…. but it was cool.
The Spice Girls are the biggest girl group ever to have lived. Yes. They only released three albums, one of which without Geri Halliwell who had left by then, but the impact they made during those first two albums was immense. They made a huge impact on lots of little girls lives back then, and their songs are still pretty decent (seriously, when your really drunk its the most uplifting thing ever). Which brings me to…
Platforms were huuuuge in the 90’s. The Spice girls were at the forefront of this trend, I remember desperately wanting a pair. I was like seven though. These days everyone’s wearing them, platform wedges, trainers, the higher the better…
I have a few of my own platforms…
OK that’s me done, there is way more I want to blog about but it might just be never ending if I carry on.
Thanks for reading.
I recently bought these amazing platform wedges from Office for £25… bargain. I saw them a couple of days before I bought them, and decided against it because i’m actually not a huge heel person anyway and these are very high. But ever since I left the shop I couldn’t stop thinking about them, so this resulted in me running into to the shop before work the next day. I’m so glad I got them because they are so comfortable and make me so much taller and long legged (deceivingly).
Another fashion lust of mine ( but not so easy to get hold of) is something/anything from Christopher Kane’s 2011 resort line. The galaxy print is popular still and ebay is full of listings similar to it or actually from it. I have been desperately trawling ebay daily to find something I can actually afford, but they all end up going for way to much…. than I can afford. Here’s some galaxy print lusting for you…

I also need some new lipstick… what colour to get?
