Dressing up box

The party season and the festival season collide with this trend. Its all about being the ‘Maximalist’ instead of the minimalist. Remember when you used to raid your mums wardrobe when you were young? Imagine that but with a touch more class…

Think prints, embellishments, embroidery, sequins, layers, tonnes of jewelry… express yourself! This trend reminds me of these cool little gift shops I used to go to when I was younger. They smelt of incense, and it seemed like there was just endless amounts of interesting things in them. You don’t have to dress up like a gift shop… you could just bring a touch of ‘ Maximilist’ to a part of your outfit.

The more colorful and busy the outfit the better. But what about the growing popularity of tattoos now? It seems that the more you have the better, and the bigger the better. Its not just clothes you can use to express yourself, more and more people are choosing to get their skin inked these days and the maximilist trend combined with tattoos could create an amazing look.

Ok i’m tired, hope you enjoyed this post!
